So....it's been a whle since we last updated our news and we've had lots going on!!

We've played at quite a few fantastic weddings recently where the guests have not stopped dancing and singing along with us - We're loving it!!  We've had bookings confirmed for 2011 and are already receiving enquiries for 2012 which is brilliant news!

We're now working on the next batch of songs and have quite a few treats in store for those of you who come to see us regularly at the Ceol Castle!!

Don't forget - If you know someone looking for a soul/funk band for their wedding/party/corporate function....Tell them about us!!

Spread the word... We're now taking bookings for 2011!

...and the results are fantastic.  Steve Gerrard; who is based at the Custard Factory in Brum, has worked his magic on the like's of Kiss, U2, Elton John, Jay Z and Lenny Kravitz so we asked if he was available and booked him up. The results are sensational and it's very hard for us to pic (get it....pic?!) a favourite but have a look in our gallery and see for yourself.

Various band members are now looking forward to getting some family photos taken by Steve and we are hoping to get some live band shots taken in the coming months too. After spending time in his studio we can all say that his wedding and family pictures are nothing short of jaw dropping.  So if your planning a wedding or any other function that you want fantastic memories from, why not try booking Steve and Second City Soul!

We have our fantastic new PA now thanks to our friends at Reverb in Birmingham who have sorted us out a great Allen and Heath mixer and KX Audio cabs. These guys get the Second City Soul seal of approval for being amazingly helpful and full of knowledge. We've already tried out our new gear out at the Cadbury Club and the sound was amazing!!

We're pleased to announce that we'll be playing at The Cadbury Club in Bournville on 21st November!!  This will be our first gig at this lovely venue so we hope you can come and show your support.  Tickets are £5 and are available from The Cadbury Club.  Further details can be found here.

We have a new addition to the website.   After lots of feedback about the site, which we are happy to say has all been great, we thought we would add a comments page to the site, in the form of a guestbook.  Now you can let us know what you thought of the last gig you went to or whatever else you would like to tell us.  Once again thank you for taking the time to visit the site and hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming gigs.

The gig originally on 23rd May at The Ceol Castle has now been moved to 16th May. We're also pleased to announce our first gig at The Escape Bar in Coventry on 5th June!!  Hope you can make it!!

Following hot on the heels of our shiny new website is the first Second City Soul recording. We spent a few fun nights at Arkham Recording Studios which are based at Madhouse Studios in Birmingham and we hope you agree that the results are fantastic.

Many thanks to Alex at Arkham and everyone at Madhouse who made us feel right at home, and his recently refurbished studio definitely has the Second City Soul seal of approval.

The tracks are recorded as live so this is a direct reflection of how the band sounds in front of an audience.

You can have a listen to the tracks by going to our Audio Player but some words of warning in interest of health and safety (we are kind like that!)...  Recent tests these have resulted in spontaneous office dancing and scenes reminiscent of 'Fame', you have been warned!!!
